“I found the writing to be excellent, with vivid imagery of life on and near the south Pacific sea in the Nineteenth Century. I felt like I was there in the midst of the action with the waves washing over me, and stayed up past my bedtime waiting to see what would happen… as this is a Christian novella, there was a thread of hope woven throughout the story, and I can't wait to see what adventures will find Alytha in the next books in the series!”Debra Olsen Alytha Series ReviewRead more

“I really enjoyed ‘The Promise. ’There was plenty of suspense, mystery and real-life drama, especially in coming over from England in a ‘small ship’. The characters conveyed real emotion and it was very easy to read. While Alytha experienced terrible things in her life, it was told well without being too shocking for the reader.Jill Gillespie Alytha Series ReviewRead more

About Me
Hi. I’m the Australian author of the Alytha Series, a love story with adult themes set in 1850s New South Wales. Currently I live near Sydney with my wife Fiona and Scruffy and Pepper, our furry friends. Fiona teaches ‘littlies’ and we have three wonderful, grown-up children who delight in calling me an absentminded professor.
In ‘real life’ there was a career as a teacher, lots of lecturing and fulfilling work with charities. There’s also been university degrees, a PhD and several books to be proud of, including three fiction novels for teenagers that make up the ‘Finding David Series’. When I wrote the first draft of the Alytha series, I made my beautiful daughter cry and stay up late to finish it- that’s when I realised it was a powerful story!
