“I really enjoyed ‘The Promise. ’There was plenty of suspense, mystery and real-life drama, especially in coming over from England in a ‘small ship’. The characters conveyed real emotion and it was very easy to read. While Alytha experienced terrible things in her life, it was told well without being too shocking for the reader.

“Alytha captured my attention from the very beginning. Her journey to a new land takes many twists and turns and I was eagerly wanting to know where her journey would take her. I loved Brad’s descriptions and felt as if I was there with her. This is an inspiring book and I am very keen to read the rest of the series.”
